This is an intricate braid I first saw in the handle of an old sword found in the 1,000 years old Viking stone parliament in Reykjavik, Iceland. I was able to reproduce it, after seeing a lady in a Danish park braiding her girl's hair in this pattern. This design has been brushed as a final step to have a satin and worn look.
